4 User Content & License

When you submit recipes, images, comments, or other material ("User Content") you retain ownership but grant House of Poha a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, and distribute the content for platform operation, promotion, and archival purposes.

You warrant that your submissions do not infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, and do not contain unlawful, defamatory, or harmful material.

5 Acceptable Use

Prohibited Activities

No uploading of malicious code or attempting to disrupt infrastructure.
No automated scraping outside public indexing norms.
No harassment, hate speech, or abusive conduct.
No misleading attribution or misrepresentation of origin.
No posting of others' personal data without consent.

6 Intellectual Property

Site design, branding, layout components, and compiled recipe collections are protected by copyright, trademark, and related laws. Limited personal, non‑commercial use is permitted. Any extraction, bulk reproduction, or derivative commercial exploitation requires prior written consent.

7 Feedback

Suggestions or improvements you voluntarily provide may be used without obligation or attribution, and you waive any moral rights to the extent permitted by law.

8 Suspension / Termination

We may suspend or terminate access (with or without notice) for activities that risk security, violate rights, breach these Terms, or degrade service quality. You may request account closure at any time; residual content may persist in backups or aggregated datasets.

9 Disclaimers

The platform and content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind (express or implied) including fitness for a particular purpose. Nutritional, health, or dietary information is community‑generated and not a substitute for professional advice.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, House of Poha and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, or profits, even if advised of the possibility. Aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts paid by you in the past 12 months or (b) USD $25.

11 Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless House of Poha, its officers, employees, and partners from claims arising out of your User Content, breach of these Terms, or violation of laws or third‑party rights.

14 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflicts principles. Venue for disputes shall be the competent courts located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, unless mandatory law specifies otherwise.
